Hallowed Ground: The Shared Space of Religion and Agriculture in South Carolina
Built upon primary research conducted in the summer of 2012, this presentation explores the ways in which fifteen farmers in the Upstate of South Carolina shape and tell their narratives of farming and faith. This study focuses on the ways in which religion and nature meet and diverge in the everyday working lives of a group of men and women whose voices have yet to be heard in the academic discourse of religion and nature - Southern Christian farmers. |
